Pick-Six Helps Hallum Grab Defensive Honors; Team Drops to No. 13

BOWLING GREEN, Ky./KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tyler Hallum recorded three tackles and an interception in Reinhardt's 34-33 loss at Bethel (Tenn.) on Saturday, and because of his efforts on the field, Hallum was named the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Appalachian Division Defensive Player of the Week.
The freshman defensive back picked off an errant throw on third down and took it to the house from 60 yards out to get the Eagles back within one touchdown at 28-21. His play helped Reinhardt keep momentum and eventually take the lead after falling behind, 28-0, in the third period.

- Hallum recorded three tackles and an interception in Reinhardt's 34-33 loss at Bethel (Tenn.) on Saturday.
- He returned his interception 60 yards for a touchdown that helped the Eagles' comeback efforts. Reinhardt trailed 28-0 late in the third quarter.
- Hallum picked up the first MSC weekly honor of his career.

Additionally, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the latest NAIA Football FirstDown PlayBook Top 25 Poll on Monday afternoon – and after dropping a heartbreaker to the Wildcats – the Eagles tumbled to No. 13 in the national rankings.
The hometown squad (2-2) received 211 votes in the rating.

Reinhardt will now travel to Ave Maria (Fla.) for a primetime matchup on Oct. 2.
