WALESKA, Ga. - Xavier Malone of Pikeville is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Football Offensive Player of the Week, while Dashawn Webster of Kentucky Christian and Alex Hanson of Reinhardt are the Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the seventh edition of the awards for the 2025 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 20.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Dashawn Webster - Kentucky Christian - Freshman 

• Tied the AAC record for most tackles in a game with 18 in a 38-35 loss to Reinhardt.
• Had 4 solo tackles and 14 assisted tackles.
• Returned a fumble recovery 68 yards for a touchdown.
• Also forced a fumble.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Xavier Malone - Pikeville - Graduate Student

• Passed for 408 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 44-0 win over Rio Grande.
• Completed 70.5 percent (31-of-44) of his passes.
• This is his third weekly honor of the season.

AAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Alex Hanson - Reinhardt - Sophomore

• Accounted for 8 points in the 38-35 win over Kentucky Christian.
• Made a 22-yard field goal with 7 seconds remaining to lift Reinhard to the win.
• Went 54-for-5 on PATs.
• Punted 3 times for 46.3 yards and placed 2 punts inside the 20.
• Had a long punt of 64 yards.
• This is his third weekly honor of the season.
