Hunter Clay Tabbed NAIA Third Team All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After finishing in a tie for fifth place at the 2021 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships at TPC at Deere Run, Eagle golfer Hunter Clay was named an NAIA Third Team All-American on Wednesday.
The squads where chosen by the NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Association All-America Committee, and a total of 45 student-athletes were honored – with 15 individuals being named to each of the three teams.

The sophomore earned the national recognition after he finished plus-4 for the Championship (eight shots behind the winner, Corey Matthey of Morningside (Iowa)) after a Friday round of 73 (+2).
Clay put together a four-day total of 288: 74, 71, 70, 73.
The Woodstock, Ga., native is just the fourth individual (sixth overall) to be selected as an All-American in Reinhardt history. Clay is the first honoree the program has had since Ben Dulin in 2017.
