NORMAN, Okla. – Hunter Clay heads into a new golf season with more accolades to his name after the second and third team NAIA PING All-American squads were announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
The Woodstock, Ga., native was selected a third team member by the GCAA after finishing in a tie for fifth place at the 2021 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships at TPC at Deere Run back in May. Clay was also tabbed an NAIA Third Team All-American earlier this year as well.
The rising junior earned the national recognition after he finished plus-4 for the Championship (eight shots behind the winner, Corey Matthey of Morningside (Iowa)) after a Friday round of 73 (+2).
Clay put together a four-day total of 288: 74, 71, 70, 73.
