The Road to Nationals Begins…

Waleska, GA - On Monday and Tuesday this week, Reinhardt's Men's and Women's Golf Teams open up their spring season at the Dalton State Invitational which is being held at Kinderlou Forest Golf Course in Valdosta, GA. It is the first of five tournaments that the golf teams will compete in before getting to the AAC National Qualifier Tournament in late April.
Coach Nichols is excited about the program and its current group of athletes and getting this spring season going. In the last NAIA National Rankings, the Eagles Men were sitting in the 22nd spot nationally. Look for this to keep improving as this spring season gets going.
For the Women's team side, a few players to keep an eye on are Lauren Welte who was the Fall Season 2021 Scoring average leader. She was followed closely by Katie Kauffman and Brooke Newsome who were Top 3 in Reinhardt Scoring Average for the Fall Season 2021. Look for these ladies to keep improving and pushing the Eagles to national rankings in the NAIA.
On the Men's side, Jack Haller will be one to watch and lead the way as the 2021-22 Fall Season scoring average leader for the Eagles. 2020-2021 3rd Team All-American, Hunter Clay will look to continue his great play for the Eagles and repeat as an All-American. Also, look for Brooks Gineris to have a great season as he was an All-tournament player for Reinhardt in the 2020-21 AAC Championships,
We are excited to get this spring season started and see what these men and women golfers can do. The teams will represent Reinhardt Athletics well and they are in store for great things.
