Coach Evans Nichols is excited about the accomplishments of both teams and had this to say about the tournament, "We won! First Men's win since 2018. I won this same tournament that year and so did our team. Pretty cool to have a win here as a player and now as a coach and it is really special that Hunter won in a sudden-death playoff. He won on the 4th playoff hole which was exactly the same as me. We just beat many teams that are ranked ahead of us. My players are looking SHARP and I am confident that we are going to continue to make strides like this toward our program's vision. The ladies' team had some good success too. Brooke Newsome broke the 36 hole scoring record shooting a total of 154. You can find more info on Golfstat under "record books since 1994". Now it's onto Chattahoochee Golf Club with Men's and Women's team in Gainesville, GA."
