Clay and Haller Perform Well at the AAC Finals
SENECA, S.C. - Reinhardt Men's Golf rounded out their successful season on Tuesday with a third-place finish at the AAC Championship Tournament. The Eagles finished with a team combined 312, 310, and 309 in the three-round event.
Reinhardt was just one stroke out of second place and fourteen strokes behind the overall winner - Truett McConnell.
Hunter Clay was the top Eagle after three rounds with scores of 74, 76, and 74 which put him in second place. He was closely followed by Jack Haller who finished in fourth place with the three-round scores of 76, 74, and 76.
Kevin Verrill finished in thirteenth place with a total score of 236. The rest of the Eagles were Brooks Gineris who finished with a total of 252 and Chanc Willis & Dalton Henson had a combined three rounds scores of 86, 78, and 83.
The Eagles will look forward to next fall when their season starts back so they can look to get back on top of the AAC. The team has solid pieces returning with younger golfers are eager to get out on the courses. The leadership of this group has been great the past two years with several tournament victories to go along with the 2022 AAC Tournament Championship and an appearance at the NAIA Nationals.
