KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Men's tennis continues to climb the national rankings after the Eagles flew up two spots to No. 3 in the latest edition of the Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll that came out earlier today.
The hometown squad is 7-0 and 4-0 within the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) after taking down then-No. 15 Point (Ga.) on the road, 7-0, Tuesday evening.
Reinhardt, who jumped over William Carey (Miss.) and Cardinal Stritch (Wis.), reeled in 319 voting points in the rating.

As for yesterday, another conference clash within the AAC featured two top 15 teams, as the Eagles and Skyhawks battled it out on the courts in West Point, Ga.
The hometown group took all three of the doubles contests to move up, 1-0, before singles play. On line one was Martin Mendoza and Artem Vasheshnikova, who teamed up to be victorious, 6-5. Reinhardt finished second and third doubles with the duos of Jordi Puig Molina/Sam Alexander (6-2) and Federico Gomez/Pau Pujadas (6-4).
The victories didn't stop there, either, as Mendoza continued to win with a 6-3, 7-5 in the top spot, as did Puig Molina in come-from-behind fashion, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3. Right down the list was Vasheshnikova (6-2, 6-7, 3-0 (Ret.)), No. 4 Pujadas at 6-0, 7-5 and rounding out the top five lines was Gomez at 4-6, 6-2, 10-7.
Alexander made it a perfect 6-for-6 on the scoresheet with a 6-4, 7-6 (7) triumph.
Tennessee Wesleyan is up next on the 2021 campaign in a Noon matchup on April 6.
