Eagles open Season with Pepsi Patriot

CORBIN, KY- The Reinhardt wrestling team opened their season on Sunday against some of the best teams in the nation at the Pepsi Patriot Open in Corbin, KY and were able to put in some work for the opening matches of the season.
The Eagles did not have a combined team score, but there were a handful of individuals who placed in their respected weight class. With taking sixteen wrestlers to open their season this Reinhardt team has shown that their work in the off season has helped prepare them for their upcoming matches.
At weight class of 125 pounds, Koby Milner placed second and won three out of his five matches by a major decision. Cole Tenety who wrestled in the 174-pound weight class get a bye for his first match and continued out to win his next five matches with a third-place finish.
The following wrestlers are who placed in their respected weight class:
- Koby Milner, 125 Lbs placed 2nd
- Trent Leon, 141 Lbs placed 5th
- Cole Tenety, 174 Lbs placed 3rd
- Jacob Henderson, 197 Lbs placed 6th
- Nic Jarvis, 285 Lbs placed 3rd
The next match up is the home opener Saturday November 13th at the Brown Athletics Center against Southeastern (FL.) starting at 5:00 p.m.
