AAC Home Opener Ends with a Battle

Waleska, Ga. - Eagles hosted their home opener in the Brown Athletic Center with a tri-match against Southeastern (FL.) who's ranked fourth in the nation and receiving votes Truett McConnell (GA).
The Eagles started their first match off strong with a win of 52-0 against Truett McConnell. The Eagles off-season work really showed out tonight as they had five pins against the Bears all within the first period of their matches. Weight classes 157 and 197 both won by a technical fall and weight classes 149 and 165 both won by regular decision. Their heavy weight Nic Jarvis won with a bye.
Five pins include:
- 125 LBS: Koby Milner
- 133 LBS: Michael Land
- 141 LBS: Trent Leon
- 174 LBS: Cole Tenety
- 184 LBS: Kyle Homet
Southeastern brought the heat to the Eagles as they both battled it out on the mat. The Eagles gave the nationally ranked team a run for their money as they went head-to-head on all their matches for the evening.
With no pins on both sides the Reinhardt team had four wins under the fire of Southeastern. Trent Leon wrestling at weight class 141 LBS had Reinhardt their first points by a major decision. Matt Jenkins, Cole Tenety, and Kyle Homet all won by a regular decision give the Eagles 13 team points in total.
Reinhardt will be home again December 16, 2021, with a tri-match against the Cumberlands (KY.) at 2:00 P.M. and Life (Ga.) at 3:00 P.M.
