Reinhardt WBBALL Takes Charge in 58-53 Win over TMU to Improve to 11-0
Cleveland, GA - The Reinhardt Eagle women's basketball team played in an AAC conference game this past Saturday, December 10th, versus the Truett McConnell Bears. The was the second match-up between the Eagles and Bears this season where Reinhardt took the win 62-50. This game was also in favor of this Reinhardt team where they won 58-53. Eagles were off to a fast offensive start, ending the first quarter 19-8 over the Bears. However, TMU didn't let this early lead affect their play, matching the Eagles' baskets in the first quarter and holding RU to just 8 points the second. The Eagles ultimately clenched this close win with an outstanding offensive performance from Ashley Woodroffe, who had 21 points and Maria Sanchez Ponce, with 16 points off the bench. This is Reinhardt's 11th straight conference win, remaining the only undefeated team left in the AAC.
Outstanding Performers:
- Ashley Woodroffe led the Eagle offense with a performance of 21 points. Maria Sanchez Ponce helped the Eagles with 16 points, while Tarrah Gibson had 12.
- Julia Craft and Ponce each managed to get their hands on 6 rebounds each and Summer Cramer had 5.
- Summer Cramer also led in assists with 5 and Tarrah Gibson had 5 of Reinhardt's 11 steals.
