Maria Sanchez Ponce Posted a Double-Double in Win Over Bluefield 75-67

Waleska, GA - The Reinhardt Eagle women's basketball team played in an AAC conference home-game this past Tuesday, December 13^th, versus the Bluefield Rams. The was the first match-up between the Eagles and Rams this season, but they will be looking to play playing again in February. The Eagles' offense tonight was a game changer, especially in the 4^th quarter where Reinhardt had 30 points. Reinhardt two offensive weapons in Maria Sanchez Ponce, who scored 24 points, and Julia Craft, who had 22. Ponce also had 12 rebounds, giving her a double-double. The Eagles ultimately clenched this AAC win over the Bluefield Rams 75-67. This is Reinhardt's 12^th straight conference win, remaining the only undefeated team left in the AAC. 

Outstanding Performers:

• Maria Sanchez Ponce led the Eagle offense with a dominating performance of 24 points. Julia Craft was shortly behind her with 22. 
• Ponce managed to get her hands on 12 rebounds, while Avanna Preston had 7.
• Summer Cramer also in assists with 7 and Tarrah Gibson had 2 blocks.

Up Next:

• Up next for Reinhardt, the Eagles won't be playing in another AAC game until January. Reinhardt will be matching up versus the Bulldogs of Union College on Thursday, January 5^th. This will be a home game and will be played at 5:30pm. This will be the second matchup of the season between the Eagles and Bulldogs, where Reinhardt took the first game 63-59.  The Bulldogs is currently sitting at 14^th in the AAC, while Reinhardt is in 1^st.
