Eagles Win Big in Last Regular Game of Season Over KCU 88-51
Wakeska, GA – The Reinhardt women's basketball team played in their very last home game this past Tuesday, February 14th, versus AAC opponents, the Kentucky Christian Knights. This game also served as Senior Night to pay tribute to the Seniors playing their last season as an Eagle. This was an explosive night offensively for the Eagles, scoring 23 points in the 1st quarter, 30 in the 2nd, and 28 in the 3rd. Reinhardt ran up the scoreboard, helping them clench this AAC win 88-51 over the Knights. Offensively, Reinhardt had 5 different players in double digits. With the squad-high of 22 points by Ashley Woodroffe, and Maria Ponce Sanchez came off the bench scoring 16 points for her team. This was a great game for the Eagles to gain momentum as they will now head into the Conference Tournament next week. Reinhardt is currently sitting in 4th in the AAC with a 17-7 record.
Outstanding Performers:
- Ashley Woodroffe, had the team's most with 22 points. Following her was Maria Sanchez Ponce with 16 points.
- Summer Cramer helped her Eagles with 4 assists while Avanna Preston and Ashley Woodroffe each had 3.
- Avanna Preston and Tarrah Gibson took charge of the boards with 8 rebounds each.
- Summer Cramer also led in steals with 5.
