Coach Campbell Set to Lead Summer Basketball Tour in Portugal

Lisbon, Portugal - Reinhardt Women's Basketball Head Coach, Tony Campbell, was selected to lead a group of college basketball players on a summer tour in Portugal. Three Eagles and a few other college athletes from other schools and club teams to play local club teams around Portugal.

The trip is set for May 16th - 24th, where the team is scheduled to start in Lisbon. During their time there, they will also visit Cascais, Sintra, Povoa de Varzim, and Porto.  The team will be playing different levels of competition, with one being a second-level professional team in Porto, Povoa.  Povoa is the host team for the girls from the United States.

Three Eagles are making the trip with Coach Campbell. Former Reinhardt star players Julia Craft, Noelle Lavery, and Summer Cramer.  Craft and Livery are coming off a successful final season with the Eagles.  Cramer was in her second year as an assistant under Coach Campbell after playing an excellent season for him in 2023.

Cramer transferred to Reinhardt for her graduate year while obtaining her Master's Degree. She was a standout point guard for the Eagles, giving them a huge boost in a position that had been lacking in previous seasons.

Lavery and Craft are coming off a season with the Eagles, where both were leaders on the team.  Lavery led the Eagles in scoring all season in 2025, and Craft was just behind her in the scoring department.  Craft was able to hit her 1000th career point for the Eagles in her final season! She played four seasons with the Eagles, quickly becoming a leader on the team after her first year.  Lavery played her final season with the Eagles after transferring in from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

Craft, Lavery, and Cramer will join six other college players from around the United States to take on the Portugal teams. It is a nice reward for these nine collegiate athletes to end their careers before moving on to the next phase in their lives.

Coach Campbell had this to say about being selected for the trip and leading this group of young women, "I'm honored to have this opportunity to work with such talented young ladies. It will be a fun and challenging trip that we are all looking forward to."
