Welte Shoots Her Way to Women's Golfer of the Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Lauren Welte of Reinhardt is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2021-22 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 4.

AAC Women's Golfer of the Week
Lauren Welte - Junior - Acworth, Ga.

  • Finished tied for second individually at the Tennessee Wesleyan Fall Invitational.
  • Helped Reinhardt to a second-place finish.
  • Posted a two-round score of 156 (12-over par).
  • This is her first weekly honor of the year.

Week 2 - John Houk, Tennessee Wesleyan (Men's); Alayna Perryman, Milligan (Women's)

Next up on the schedule is the FireHawk Invitational at Canebrake Golf Club on Oct. 5.
