Eagles Golfer, Debbie Blount, Showing Everyone It’s Never Too Late
David Finney
Waleska, GA - When you think of your typical college athlete, one might think of someone in their late teens or early twenties - fresh out of high school competing while they are in college, however, this is not the route for everyone. Meet Reinhardt Eagle, Debbie Blount, who returned to college later in life and decided to compete on the women's golf team. Debbie is breaking all the stereotypes and competing with golfers more than half her age. Golf Georgia magazine has recognized Debbie in their current issue and featured her on the front cover of the magazine. It is truly a great story of never giving up on your dreams and this is a great honor for Debbie, Reinhardt University, and the Eagles golf program.
Coach Nichols is excited about Debbie and the rest of the women's and men's golf teams and he had this to say about the article, "I'm really happy that so many are noticing Debbie for what she is doing. It's really inspiring because it shows that it is never too late. I hope that everyone stays tuned because Debbie and our team are going to get a lot done together!"
