Newsome & Crawford Top Finishers for Eagles Golf

Greenville, SC - Reinhardt Women's Golf competed in their final tournament for the fall season at the AAC Fall Preview, which was held at Link Hill Country Club. The team finished in 6th position, but it gives them good direction for the spring season and what they need to do to finish in the top spots of the conference. Reinhardt's total team score was 673, which was just a few strokes back from taking the fifth spot in the standings.

Brooke Newsome and Kailey Crawford were the top-place finishers for the Eagles tied in 22nd position with a total score of 163. Newsome shot 83 on day one and 80 on day two. Crawford shot 81 and 82 on her two days.

Next for the Eagles was Lauren Welte with a final score of 173. Welte shot an 84 and 89 in her two days on the course and finished in 38th position.

Caroline Goddard and Debbie Blount finished up for the Eagles back-to-back with scores of 176 and 177 respectively. 

The Eagles will have the next few months to work on their game and come back ready to compete again in the spring season. The spring season should start in February of 2023 and go through mid-May with the AAC Championships and the NAIA National Tournament.
