Eagles Make Strides at the Spring Season AAC Championship
ACWORTH, Ga. - Reinhardt Women's Golf competed at the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Golf Tournament championship on Monday and Tuesday this week. The team finished in sixth place with a team score of 1071 for their three-round play.
The tournament was held at the Governors Towne Club in Acworth, Ga. which also was the location for the Fall Sememster AAC Tournament. The Eagles finished over twenty strokes better in the spring tournament versus the fall tournament, which shows the team is making small strides in moving up the standings.
SCAD University was the overall champion and will represent the NAIA in the NAIA National Tournament coming up in May. Truett McConnell and Milligan University finished in second and third places respectively.
The spring tournament team was led by Caroline Goddard, who has been consistently the leader of the squad in both the fall and spring semesters. She finished in 22nd place overall and her three-round total was 262.
She was followed by Samantha Roper who placed 25th overall with a score of 269 in her three rounds and Isabella LoBue who was in 27th position with a three-round score of 279.
Rounding out the team were Samantha Hillhouse and Elizabeth Hamilton.
This will end the 2024-25 golf season for the women's team, but the team will look to add more pieces to the squad for 2025-26 so Reinhardt Women's Golf can keep moving up the standings.
