Mobley Leads Reinhardt at Spring Golden Tiger Collegiate
Gainesville, GA - Reinhardt University's Women's Golf competed in the Spring Golden Tiger Collegiate Tournament, with freshman Isabella Mobley leading the Eagles with a top-10 finish at Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville, Georgia, on March 2-3. Facing a six-team NAIA field that included four programs from the Appalachian Athletic Conference, Reinhardt entered four golfers and was paced by Mobley's tie for 10th at 24-over-par for the two-round event.
Mobley opened the tournament with a 10-over round on the demanding Chattahoochee layout, putting herself in position on the individual leaderboard after the first day. She followed that with a 14-over final round to close at 24-over and secure a share of 10th place overall. Her steady play over both days gave Reinhardt its lowest individual total of the tournament and highlighted her ability to navigate a challenging collegiate field early in the spring season.
Behind Mobley, Samantha Roper provided the Eagles' next-best finish, placing 16th at 32-over-par. Roper battled through a difficult opening round of 26-over, then responded with a sharper second round of 20-over to move up the board on the final day. Her improvement from round one to round two gave Reinhardt another counting score inside the top 20 and underscored the team's ability to adjust to the course from one day to the next.
Addy Anderson rounded out Reinhardt's reported scoring contingent with a 23rd-place finish at 46-over-par. Anderson posted matching rounds of 26-over and 20-over, mirroring Roper's pattern of tightening up her score on the second day. While individual hole-by-hole details were not provided, Anderson's second-round improvement contributed to the Eagles' stronger overall play as the tournament progressed.
With three golfers inside the top 25, the Spring Golden Tiger Collegiate provided Reinhardt valuable experience and a baseline for the remainder of the spring campaign. Mobley's top-10 performance and the second-round improvements from Roper and Anderson point to positive momentum as the Eagles continue to tune their games against regional competition in the AAC and beyond.
The Eagles will have one more tournament before they compete in the AAC Championship Tournament. Next up is the SCAD Cup Tournament held at Heron Bay Golf Club in Locust Grove, GA. After that, the team will have a few weeks off before the AAC Tournament, which is on April 27th - 29th at Governor's Country Club in Acworth, Georgia.
