Waleska, Ga. - On Saturday night, the Reinhardt Women's Soccer team achieved a resounding 4-0 victory over the Columbia College Koalas in a crucial AAC conference game. The match, held in Waleska, GA, saw the Eagles dominating the field right from the start.
The Eagles were in form, leading the first half with two goals and maintaining their advantage. Julia Knight, scored the opening goal from afar, setting the pace for the match. Lily Freeman contributed with another spectacular goal before halftime, bringing the score to 2-0.
Reese Wise and Sarah Taylor each added to the tally in the second half, with Wise scoring one goal and assisting another, showcasing a versatile performance. Sarah Taylor also scored a goal and provided an assist, proving instrumental in the Eagles' offensive strategy. The game concluded with a commendable performance by Reagan Horton as the goalkeeper, maintaining a clean sheet against the Koalas.
With this win, Reinhardt University improves their season record to 5-3-2 overall and 5-1-2 in the conference, embedding them more firmly in a competitive stance within the AAC. Their next challenge will be against the Johnson Royals, on Wednesday, October 8th, at a home game scheduled for 3 pm.
