WALESKA, Ga. - Kira Rymer of Columbia International is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Alma Vazquez Nunez of Reinhardt and Kolbie Greene of Milligan are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the 11th and final edition of the awards for the 2022 season.
AAC Defender of the Week
Alma Vazquez Nunez - Reinhardt - Senior - Vigo, Spain
- Averaged 7.00 digs per set.
- Posted 21 digs in 3 sets.
- Helped Reinhardt to a 3-0 sweep of Truett McConnell.
- Also had 3 assists and 2 aces.
- This is her second weekly honor of the season.
AAC Attacker of the Week
Kira Rymer - Columbia International - Junior - China Grove, N.C.
- Helped CIU to a 2-0 record.
- Averaged 4.33 kills per set and posted a .500 hitting percentage on the week.
- Posted 14 kills in a 3-0 sweep of St. Andrews and 12 in a 3-0 sweep of Toccoa Falls.
- Had 26 kills, 1 dig, and 1 block.
- This is her sixth weekly honor of the season.
AAC Setter of the Week
Kolbie Greene - Milligan - Sophomore - New Market, Tenn.
- Averaged 14.33 assists per game in helping Milligan to a 3-0 sweep of Tennessee Wesleyan.
- Posted 43 assists on the week.
- Had 6 digs, 2 kills, 1 block, and 1 service ace on the week.
- This is her second weekly honor of the season.
