Marietta, GA - In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, the Reinhardt University Volleyball Eagles swept Florida College in a three-set victory at the Running Eagle Classic held at Life University on Friday morning. The Eagles showcased their strength right from the onset, clinching the match with final scores of Reinhardt 3, Florida College 0.
The first set saw the Eagles overpowering their opponents with a commanding score of 25-8. Standout performances included Juliette Baffico, who led with a striking 14 kills and 13 digs, contributing significantly on both offensive and defensive fronts. The second set was more contested, yet the Eagles held their ground, pushing through a narrow 25-20 win. The tension peaked in the third set, where despite Florida College's best efforts, Reinhardt closed it with a 25-22 score, underlining their superior play and strategic prowess.
Key players such as Kaylee Cantlin and Giulia Julve provided crucial support, racking up a combined 13 kills, with Julve also adding 2 blocks. The defensive efforts were bolstered by Breah Watson and Emma Ponkova, each contributing 2 blocks to repel Florida's strategies. Giulia Julve led with 13 kills followed by Kaylee Cantlin with 9 kills and 6 blocks, demonstrating both offensive and defensive strengths.
