Barbourville, KY. - The Reinhardt University Eagles Women's Volleyball team soared to a sweeping victory against the Union Commonwealth Bulldogs on Friday night at Barbourville, Ky. This AAC conference victory highlighted the Eagles' dominant season, improving their record to an impressive 22-4 overall and 13-0 in conference play.
The match commenced with the Eagles taking control early, securing the first set 25-19. Their consistent performance carried through to the second set, mirroring the first set's score at 25-19, and concluded with a slightly tighter third set, ending at 25-21. This clean sweep marked a significant win for the Eagles, asserting their prowess on the court.
Jenna Smith led the team with an outstanding performance, amassing 15 kills and 2 blocks. She was ably supported by Juliette Baffico, who contributed 12 kills and 10 digs, and Kaylee Cantlin who added 9 kills to the tally. The defensive efforts were equally notable with Silvia Aguado leading with 22 digs. The team also showcased their strategic serving skills, with Ashlynn Barnes achieving 2 aces.
