Jacob Cagle is in his third season as an assistant coach with Reinhardt Baseball. Cagle is tasked with being the team’s outfield coach while assisting with hitting and field maintenance.

“Jacob is a great addition to our staff, “head baseball coach Jonathan Burton said. “He does a tremendous job of teaching our outfielders and brings a wealth of knowledge that has shown to be beneficial to our players. He certainly has his hands full with his summer team, but he always makes time for us at Reinhardt and for that I am forever grateful.”

Cagle joins the Eagles staff after being with D-BAT WEST COBB as one of its lead instructors. He also coaches and owns the Southeast Sox Baseball Program based out of Acworth Ga.

Prior to D-BAT and the Sox, Cagle spent four years playing on the diamond at Reinhardt from 2015-18. He played shortstop, right field and third base throughout his playing days – spending most of his time in the infield.

During Cagle’s senior year, he helped lead the Eagles to their first NAIA Baseball Opening Round championship and the 2018 Avista-NAIA Baseball World Series.

As an Eagle, he was named all-conference and received an AAC Gold Glove award as a senior. Throughout his four years at Reinhardt, Cagle was able to join the career record books as:

Cagle ranked in 14 of the 18 available offensive statistics, and defensively, he also ranked sixth in total chances (588) and fourth in assists (304).

Cagle and his fiancée, Taylor, reside in Cartersville, GA.
