Fulghom joins Reinhardt athletics as head cheerleading coach
"I am very excited and honored for the opportunity to coach a great group of student-athletes, and am ready to move the Reinhardt University program to the next level," Fulghom said. "Cheerleading and coaching are great passions of mine. I have always been told that if you follow your passion, success will surely follow."
Since 2008, Fulghom has worked for Varsity Brands Inc., serving as a sales representative for cheerleading and dance apparel. Prior to that, she was employed in the media/communications field by Atlanta companies Mediaedge and OMD.
Fulghom was a cheerleader at Georgia College & State University, an NCAA Division II member in Milledgeville, where she was a part of two squads that earned national runner-up honors. She was also involved in competition cheerleading throughout high school. After graduating from Southland Academy in Americus, Ga., she made the Dean's List every semester at Georgia College, finishing with a 3.45 grade-point average and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2005.
Fulghom is originally from Montezuma, Ga., but now makes her home in Canton. She is a member of the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators and the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches Association.
