Reinhardt Football Reveals 2018 Recruiting Class

WALESKA, Ga. – Second-year Reinhardt head coach James Miller announced today the addition of 55 student-athletes who joined the Eagle football program as members of the 2018 recruiting class who signed their letters of intent on National Signing Day on Wednesday.
All but one player – Tyler Presley (RB) from Alabama – is from the state of Georgia.
"We are really excited to add these student-athletes to our RU football family, University and the Waleska community," Miller said. "I want to thank the players and their families for trusting us to take care of their son in the classroom and on the field of play. I also want to thank my staff – we have worked extremely hard to find the right fit for our University and football program. This is a group of young men that is powerful upfront and brings a lot of speed to our team on both sides of the football. We really focused on the offensive line and defensive backfield where we lost some key contributors to our team.
"We got players from a lot of winning programs that understand the price you have to pay to be successful. I have really enjoyed recruiting all the kids that have signed today, and I'm really excited about the future of Reinhardt Football."
Reinhardt's class includes 23 offensive players, 31 on the defensive side of the ball and a specialist.

Coach's Comment: Hunter is a very accomplished passer coming out of Hillgrove High. He holds the career passing record of 5,284 yards to go along with 50 TDs. He finished his senior season with 2,138 yards passing and 22 TDs, leading Hillgrove to an 8-4 record. We are really excited to add a guy of Hunter's caliber to our program. Fritz Arthur #18: Pope/Tab Griffin, LB, 6'0, 205
Coach's Comment: Fritz is a big, athletic linebacker that is very intelligent. Had 80 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, a sack, forced fumble, and two pass breakups. Won defensive player of the week multiple times. Fritz also participated in wrestling. winning the region championship in the 195-pound weight class. We are very fortunate to have a young man of his caliber joining our family. (Recruited by Brad Lindamood).
Dezhaun Artis #18: LaGrange/Mike Pauley, DB, 5'9, 160 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Dezhaun Artis is a talented defensive back from LaGrange High School. He was a 3-year letterman at LaGrange, recording 56 tackles and 3 forced fumbles as a senior, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. (Recruited by Greg Blue).
Brenton Ballard #24: Paulding County/Van Spence, OL, 6'0, 245 Hudl
Coach's Comment: A defensive lineman that we can play on the outside or inside. Brenton is very active and makes a lot of plays on the opposing teams' line of scrimmage. Finished his senior year with 62 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, 24 QB pressures, 2 forced fumbles and a blocked punt. Earned All-County and Second Team All-Region in his final season. Terry Berdin #29: Cartersville/Joey King, RB, 5'6,160 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Explosive and fast running back that has played for one of the best programs in the state. Ran for 1,011 yards in his career with 14 touchdowns, averaging 10.1 yards per carry. Runs track as well, having been timed in the 100-meters in 10.7 seconds and 200m in 21.2 seconds. Terry's best football is in front of him; excited to add him to the Eagles' Nest. Emmanuel Boone #71: Westside Macon/Shenddrick Risper, OL, 6'1, 290 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Big Boone is a center/tackle prospect from Westside High in Macon. A 3-year starter that was very dependable, never missing a practice or game in his career. Won All-Region as a senior finishing the season with 41 pancakes. (Recruited by Fred Jones).
Jahari Boone #12: Valwood/Ashley Henderson, Dog, 6'1, 195 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Jahari is a big, athletic kid with really good speed for his size as he ran a 4.69 40-yard dash while on campus. First Team All-Region performer for Valwood that was a two-way player. He finished his senior year with 77 tackles and an interception on defense and 13 receptions for 234 yards on offense. Bryce Burgess #1: Adairsville/Eric Bishop, ATH, 5'10, 180 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Bryce Burgess is a multi-tool athlete from Adairsville High School. As a senior, he recorded 108 tackles, 10 pass breakups and one interception on the defensive side of the ball. He tallied 487 rushing yards on 73 carries with six touchdowns, and 10 receptions for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Has been named First Team All-Region the past two seasons for football, as well as being a state placer in wrestling and a sectional track qualifier. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Qu'Vella Calhoun #4: Meadowcreek/Jason Carrera, ATH, 5'8, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Qu'Vella was a playmaker on both sides of the ball for Meadowcreek. He finished his senior year with 63 tackles and 17 sacks on defense and eight carries for 127 yards with 6 TDs. He also participated in wrestling and basketball at Meadowcreek. We are so excited to see to have a guy as talented as Qu'Vella joining the Reinhardt family. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Jalen Cannon #44: Best Academy/Joshua Moore, LB, 6'0, 225 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Jalen is a big linebacker that can run for his size as we timed him at 4.86 in the 40- yard dash. He played linebacker and running back at Best Academy his senior year. Jalen totaled 164 total tackles and 10 sacks on defense his final campaign and 1,612 yards of total offense in his career with 552 yards rushing his senior year. Those impressive stats led to an All-State Honorable Mention and First Team All-Region selection. (Recruited by Brent McClendon).
John Cano #59: Brunswick/Shawn Pender, OL, 6'0, 260 Hudl
Coach's Comment: John is a kid that is very intense player on the gridiron. He is a finisher that plays through the whistle every snap with 52 dominant finishes on the season. He played at Brunswick, who finished with an 8-3 record his senior year. John garnered First Team All-region his junior and senior campaigns and Honorable Mention All-State in 2017. Also a very accomplished wrestler with a career record of 112-32 coming second in area and fourth in sectionals. (Recruited by Brad Lindamood).
Josh Chastain #55: Lumpkin County/Scott Williamson, OL, 5'11, 270 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Big and physical player that played both sides of the football for Lumpkin County. Has started at center, defensive tackle and fullback at times. Very athletic for his size running a 4.91 pro shuttle & 1.8 10-yard sprint. Was a 3-time All-Region pick on the gridiron and also wrestled; was Sectional Champion in 2018. Treneilus Craddock: Southwest Dekalb/Arkansas Baptist, DL, 6'2, 270
Coach's Comment: He was a 2-year starter who has a good body and brings some experience to the field on the defensive line. Craddock has leadership qualities both on the field and in the classroom because he is a former captain. Excited to have him in the fold. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Courtland Dixon: Hardaway/Michael Woolridge, DB, 5'11, 170 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Courtland Dixon is a talented athlete that played defense and special teams in high school. He is coming to Reinhardt to play defensive back after recording 39 solo tackles, assisting on 23 tackles, and breaking up six passes. As a punt returner, he totaled 233 yards and a touchdown to go along with 233 yards on seven kickoff returns. (Recruited by Greg Blue).
Payne Drake #20: Mcintosh Academy/Terell Toomer, Dog, 5'11, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Payne is a fast linebacker that we clocked at 4.78 in the 40-yard dash. We feel like he can be physical in the run game and athletic enough to cover people man-to-man. Was able to produce 89 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 5 quarterback pressures, 2 pass breakups, an interception and four forced fumbles. Sam Dudley #32: Weslyan/Franklin Pridgen, LB/SN, 5'11, 180 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Brother to tight end Gordon Dudley and son of longtime Georgia high school coach Ed Dudley. He has a great pedigree and is a very intelligent football player. Long snapper and nose guard finished with 22 Tackles (2 TFL), a pair of sacks on defense, and four catches for 33 yards and a TD on offense. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Jalen Everett #19: Valdosta/Allen Rodemaker, FS, 5'8, 165 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Jalen is a 2016 state champion football player from Valdosta High. He is an explosive athlete that has the ability to dunk a basketball at 5'8. Also, extremely fast running a 4.5 40-yard dash on campus and has excellent change of direction. (Recruited by Fred Jones).
Logan Garner #70: Jefferson / Gene Cathcart, OL, 6'0, 245 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Jefferson High School product that went 10-3 this season, losing in the elite eight. The 2-year starter brings a physical presence to the offensive line with 52 pancakes his senior year. He played on the defensive line as well, collecting 44 tackles the last two seasons. Logan was All-Region his junior and senior seasons to go along with being name All-State as a senior. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Anthony Gangi #57: Loganville/Mike Humphrey, OL, 5'10, 230 Hudl
Coach's Comment: A very hardworking and blue collar approach to the game of football. Anthony comes from a great family that has instilled a work ethic that is going to make him successful. He started at left tackle and center for Loganville High School and was part of the National Honors Society. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Najji Germana #1: Collins Hill/Lenny Gregory, RB, 5'7, 160 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Najji Germana is a talented running back from Collins Hill. He has been a starter on the Varsity since he was a sophomore. As a senior captain he rushed for 535 yards on 93 rushing attempts. He was granted the leadership award by his high school for upstanding character. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
AJ Green #4: Mount Paran/Mitch Jordan, DB, 5'9, 160 Hudl
Coach's Comment: AJ is a talented defensive back from Mount Paran High. AJ helped the Eagles to a 11-2 record his senior season. He finished with 47 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 5 pressures on the quarterback and 6 pass breakups. We are very excited he wanted to continue to be an Eagle at Reinhardt. Willie Green #50: Glenn Hills/Nick Collins, OL, 6'2, 270 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Brings an aggressive and finishing mentality to our offensive line. A two-way starter on the line of scrimmage for Glenn Hills. Finished his senior season with 60 pancake blocks. Willie was 4-AA First Team All-Area, Region and State recipient and played in the Tennessee versus Georgia All-Star Game along with the Border Bowl. (Recruited by Fred Jones).
Seth Griffin #26: Pope/Tab Griffin, CB, 5'10, 160 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Seth is a talented cornerback from Pope High School. As a senior, he recorded 9 pass breakups, 2 fumble recoveries, 31 tackles, and 2 TFL. He is an exciting addition to the already successful Reinhardt defense. (Recruited by Brad Lindamood).
Hunter Giffith #62: Jefferson/Gene Cathcart, OL, 6'1, 260 Hudl
Coach's Comment: A talented offensive lineman that has played guard and tackle for Jefferson High that finished 10-3 on the season. Tough-minded player that had 26 dominant finishes his senior year. Hunter also participated in the East versus West All-Star game and was a preseason FAB 50 selection. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Alex Hardy: P/K: South Forsyth
Coach's Comment: Hardy will bring even more talent to the special teams room that we already have here at Reinhardt. He received three Player of the Game awards last year (two region games and the playoff game) and was All-Region 5-7A. He was 6-for-7 on field goals (long 32), 42-of-43 on PATs and 36 of his 56 kickoffs were touchbacks (66.3 percent touchback rate); 29 punts with an average of 38.5 yards (long of 50 (twice). Hardy also hit the winning field goal at the Corky Kell Classic at Georgia State's stadium in double overtime. At the Chris Sailer Kicking Camp, he won the sudden death field goal challenge – against the number one kicker in the nation at the time – with three 55-yard field goals. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Cade Holder #55: Rockmart/Biff Parsons, OL 5'11 280 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Cade is joining the Reinhardt family from Rockmart High, a Sweet 16 team. Cade is a team-first guy, displayed by him winning 'Set the Standard' award his final season and was also a captain. A physical player with over a 100 dominant finishes in his career (45 as a senior). (Recruited by Brad Lindamood).
Matthew Holt #10: Lakeside (Dekalb)/Cam Jones, QB, 6'5, 180 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Matt is a tall quarterback that has a very live arm – he can make all the throws on a field. A 2-year starter that completed 74 passes for 1,237 yards and 8 TDs during his final campaign. He earned All-County his junior and senior seasons. He was the quarterback on Cam Newton's 7-on-7 travel team. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Jonathan Howard: Putnam County, DE, 6'2, 195 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Howard is a rangy, physical and explosive defensive end that plays with a great motor, which makes him a good fit for what we like to do on that side of the ball. He was a First Team All-Region 8-AA selection and was chosen to play in the GACA All-Star game. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Dakota Hughes #32: Adairsville/Eric Bishop, ATH, 6'2, 225 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Dakota is a versatile two-way player at linebacker and tight end for Adairsville High. He racked up 124 total tackles, 10 TFLs, 5 sacks and 3 pass breakups on defense and two receptions for 96 yards for two TDs on offense his senior season. Displays great passion and enthusiasm on the field and won Adairsville's leadership award and Defensive MVP at the conclusion of the season. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Nate Hunt #2: Stratford Academy/Mark Farriba, WR/TE, 6'4, 200 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Nathan Hunt is a talented wide receiver with a great combination of height and speed from Stratford Academy. As a senior, he was named to the Region 7-A All-Region team as well as the region's Special Teams Player of the Year. His statistics include 512 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Osmann Jalloh #6: South Gwinnett/Steve Davenport, LB, 6'1, 225 Hudl
Comment: Compiled 32 tackles – three tackles for loss – and a sack. He's a well-built young man who will fit right in with the toughness mentality that Reinhardt football represents. Jalloh has a bright future both on and off the field, and we are very happy he is an Eagle. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Austin Jones #88: McEachern/Kyle Hockman, TE/SN, 6'1, 215 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Austin played for a semifinal team at McEachern in Cobb County. He caught 13 balls his senior year for 141 yards 10.8 YPC and two TDs. Austin also handles all the long snapping duties for the Indians. We are really excited to add a player with his talents to our roster. (Recruited by Brad Lindamood).
Jalen Lampkin #11: Hapeville Charter/Winston Gordon, CB, 5'9, 170 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Jalen is a state champion cornerback from Hapeville Charter in Hapeville, Ga. He finished his championship season with 58 tackles, 4 pass breakups, and two interceptions. He has excellent speed and instincts to make plays on the ball. He has grown up in a winning program and understands what it takes to be successful. (Recruited by Greg Blue).
Johnathan Leonard #21: Callaway/Pete Wiggins, LB, 5'9, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Really productive player for Coach Wiggins, finishing his senior year with 146 total tackles, 10 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and one interception returned for a touchdown. Coach's Comment: Solomon is a 2-year starter for Lovejoy High School. He was Al-Region and All-County for two-consecutive seasons. Solomon was named captain for his senior season. (Recruited by Greg Blue).
Chris Long #21: River Ridge/Tyler Wynn, DB, 5'10, 170 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Chris is a young man that is a playmaker on that back end of a defense. He's a very instinctual player finishing with six interceptions – two returned for TDs – five pass breakups and 24 tackles on defense. Chris has a team first mentality as the River Ridge quarterback went down for the season and Coach Wynn asked Chris to play QB… he ended up rushing for 358 yards and five TDs. For his efforts on offense and defense Chris earned First Team All-Region his senior season and Cherokee Gridiron Club Athlete of the Year. (Recruited by Fred Jones).
Kenneth Lowery #20: Collins Hill/Lenny Gregory, LB 5'11 220 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Kenneth Lowery is a talented linebacker form Collins Hill who was named First Team All-Region and Second Team All-County for his junior and senior years. He has recorded 201 tackles, 25 TFL and 6.5 sacks, along with a defensive touchdown over the past two seasons. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Darius Martin #18: Grayson/Christian Hunnicutt, Dog, 5'10, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Darius is a physical and fast football player for 11-2 Grayson High. His speed was shown on campus by running a 4.58 40-yard dash. He displays the kind of passion and effort that we look for in all of our football players. Finished the season with 70 tackles and two sacks, earning Honorable Mention All-region for his senior season. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Tripp Martin #76: Banks County/Josh Shoemaker, OL, 5'11, 290 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Had 20 pancake blocks during his varsity career and participated in the East-West All-American OD bowl in New Orleans where he was regarded by some as one of the best lineman on the field. We are thrilled to add Tripp to our squad. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Darrell Neal #27: Cedar Grove/Jimmy Smith, RB, 5'8, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Talented running back for Jimmy Smith at Cedar Grove. Darrell led Dekalb County in rushing with 1,489 yards on 156 carries for an average of 9.54 yards per carry. He was an All-County and All-Region selection for a team that finished 12-1. Darrell has excellent change of direction and finishing speed, running a 4.58 40-yard dash on campus. Kellen Neal #31: Buford/John Ford, DB, 6'1, 170 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Kellen is a tall, rangy athlete that can make plays on the back end of your defense. He played for a semifinalist team that finished the season at 11-2. Kellen was a First Team All-Region selection and named a permanent captain for the Wolves. He received the Ricky Patterson Award for best attitude and effort on the team. He finished the season with 85 tackles, 10 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He's a winner from a winning program. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Gray Nichols #57: Evans/Lem Lackey, OL, 6'0, 300
Coach's Comment: Gray is a big offensive lineman from Evans High in Augusta. He played on the most prolific offense in school history and top-scoring in the 6A classification. Had 33 dominant finishes on the season. For his efforts he received First Team All-Area and Second Team All-Region. (Recruited by Fred Jones).
Xavier O'Neal #2: Pope/Tab Griffin, DB, 5'10, 170 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Xavier is a talented player for Pope High. Started at running back and free safety for Coach Griffin. On defense he tallied 63 tackles, 1 Forced Fumble, 1 Fumble Recovery and two pass breakups. A talented runner on offense, gaining 950 yards on 151 attempts for an average of 6.29 per carry to go with 12 touchdowns. Ethan Painter #76: Grayson/Christian Hunnicutt, OL, 6'1, 270 Hudl
Coach's Comment: I have a lot of respect for Coach Hunnicutt and his opinion of offensive line play, and he said 'Ethan is the toughest kid that I ever coached.' That means a lot to me and also the fact that he is a former state champion and owns a 37-4 career record going 10-2 his senior season. He knows how to win and the price you have to pay to make it happen. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Jonathan Perry: Hampton, DL, 6'0, 210
Coach's Comment: JC Perry has been a varsity starter at Hampton High Shool since his freshmen year. For the past three years, he has been All-Region, a captain and led the team in tackles. He is also the all-time leader for tackles at Hampton with 355 tackles over his career, not to mention being named MVP of the Georgia/Florida All-Star Game. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Tyler Presley: Daleville/Rob Armstrong, RB, 5'11, 175 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Tyler is a two-way player from Daleville High right outside of Dothan, Ala. We see him playing a slot position for us at Reinhardt. He earned the Southeast Sun News Player of the Year by rushing for 857 yards on 135 carries for an average 6.3 per rush to go along with 10 TDs. He also made noise in the passing game with 19 catches for 433 yards and 5 TDs. Also was productive on defense with 92 tackles and three interceptions and First Team All-Region. Malik Ransom #6: Tucker/Bryan Lamar, LB, 5'11, 200 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Malik is a very athletic and violent linebacker from Tucker High School. He ran a 4.6 40-yard dash on our campus at Reinhardt and will use that speed on the field. Was a pivotal member of this year's 12-2 Tucker football team that was a semifinalist in the GHSA playoffs. As a senior, he recorded 57 tackles, 3 sacks, 8 TFL, 3 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Jayden Robinson: Lincoln County/Kevin Banks, LB, 5'11, 218
Coach's Comment: Jayden Robinson is an All-Region linebacker from Lincoln County, Ga. His combination of size and quickness are his biggest weapons as a player. As a senior, he was named Lincoln County's Defensive MVP after recording 104 tackles and four sacks. (Recruited by Fred Jones).
Noah Stephens: Callaway/Pete Wiggins, K, 5'9 160
Coach's Comment: Noah Stephens is a very talented special teams player from Callaway High School. As a senior, he recorded 69 kickoffs with 16 touchbacks with an average return of 15.5 yds. He completed 46-of-49 PATs, 24-of-35 field goals, and punted the ball 29 times with an average of 29 yards. (Recruited by Greg Blue).
Justin Stevens #3: Veterans/David Bruce, CB, 5'10, 175 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Talented corner from Veterans High. Has excellent man-to-man skills that he displayed at our camp this summer. He was voted a permanent captain and Defensive Back of the Year for his effort as a senior. He picked off four passes to go along with six pass breakups and 40 tackles on the season. Earned Second Team All-Region. We are really excited he has joined the family. (Recruited by Fred Jones).
Siraye Tchatcha #12: South Gwinnett/Steve Davenport, LB, 6'0, 212 Hudl
Coach's Comment: He put up 63 tackles, 10 TFL, 3 sacks, 2 interceptions and a pair of touchdowns. Tchatcha was named First Team All-Region. He brings speed, physicality and athleticism to the defensive side of the ball, which is going to bring a lot of competitiveness to the roster. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Maddox Teems #74: Adairsville/Eric Bishop, OL, 5'11, 275 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Maddox is a very durable and experienced offensive lineman from Adairsville. He won the Billy Wofford Award at his senior banquet. This award represents the overall MVP (leader, role model, never late to class, and 100 percent on lifts.) A 3-year starter that was a 3-year All-Region and 2-year All-County selection. Finished his senior year with 35 domninant finishes and a 90 percent player grade. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Travis Traylor #7: Callaway/Pete Wiggins, TE, 5'11, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Travis played TE and DE at Callaway High School. His junior season, he started at DE and finished with 47 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 interception and a forced fumble. Senior season switched to the offensive side of the football playing TE. Had four catches for 97 yards and three carries for 54 yards for a team that finished 13-1 this season and won 25 games the past two years. Travis is also a Georgia Merritt Scholar. Juan Uribe #43: Milton/Adam Clack, DL, 5'10, 200 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Juan Uribe is a very exciting addition to the talented Reinhardt defensive line. The speed and aggression that he played with in high school will prove-to-be helpful as a collegiate football player. As a senior at Milton, he was named First Team All-Region after recording 40 tackles, 7 sacks and 15 TFL. (Recruited by Brad Lindamood).
Bryce Wilkins #55: Cartersville/Joey King, OL, 5'7, 250 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Winner is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Bryce Wilkins. He holds a 53-3 career record on the gridiron in high school. Three-year starter, 4-time playoff participant, 4-time region champion, 2-time state champion and All-Region as a junior and senior. Senior year was OL MVP and permanent captain for Cartersville. The newest members of the Reinhardt community will be on campus for summer workouts in August in preparations for the upcoming year as the team hopes to make a return trip to Daytona Beach, Fla.

WALESKA, Ga. – Second-year Reinhardt head coach James Miller announced today the addition of 55 student-athletes who joined the Eagle football program as members of the 2018 recruiting class who signed their letters of intent on National Signing Day on Wednesday.
All but one player – Tyler Presley (RB) from Alabama – is from the state of Georgia.
"We are really excited to add these student-athletes to our RU football family, University and the Waleska community," Miller said. "I want to thank the players and their families for trusting us to take care of their son in the classroom and on the field of play. I also want to thank my staff – we have worked extremely hard to find the right fit for our University and football program. This is a group of young men that is powerful upfront and brings a lot of speed to our team on both sides of the football. We really focused on the offensive line and defensive backfield where we lost some key contributors to our team.
"We got players from a lot of winning programs that understand the price you have to pay to be successful. I have really enjoyed recruiting all the kids that have signed today, and I'm really excited about the future of Reinhardt Football."
Reinhardt's class includes 23 offensive players, 31 on the defensive side of the ball and a specialist.

Coach's Comment: Hunter is a very accomplished passer coming out of Hillgrove High. He holds the career passing record of 5,284 yards to go along with 50 TDs. He finished his senior season with 2,138 yards passing and 22 TDs, leading Hillgrove to an 8-4 record. We are really excited to add a guy of Hunter's caliber to our program. Fritz Arthur #18: Pope/Tab Griffin, LB, 6'0, 205
Coach's Comment: Fritz is a big, athletic linebacker that is very intelligent. Had 80 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, a sack, forced fumble, and two pass breakups. Won defensive player of the week multiple times. Fritz also participated in wrestling. winning the region championship in the 195-pound weight class. Dezhaun Artis #18: LaGrange/Mike Pauley, DB, 5'9, 160 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Dezhaun Artis is a talented defensive back from LaGrange High School. He was a 3-year letterman at LaGrange, recording 56 tackles and 3 forced fumbles as a senior, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. (Recruited by Greg Blue).
Brenton Ballard #24: Paulding County/Van Spence, OL, 6'0, 245 Hudl
Coach's Comment: A defensive lineman that we can play on the outside or inside. Brenton is very active and makes a lot of plays on the opposing teams' line of scrimmage. Finished his senior year with 62 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, 24 QB pressures, 2 forced fumbles and a blocked punt. Earned All-County and Second Team All-Region in his final season. Terry Berdin #29: Cartersville/Joey King, RB, 5'6,160 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Explosive and fast running back that has played for one of the best programs in the state. Ran for 1,011 yards in his career with 14 touchdowns, averaging 10.1 yards per carry. Runs track as well, having been timed in the 100-meters in 10.7 seconds and 200m in 21.2 seconds. Terry's best football is in front of him; excited to add him to the Eagles' Nest. Emmanuel Boone #71: Westside Macon/Shenddrick Risper, OL, 6'1, 290 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Big Boone is a center/tackle prospect from Westside High in Macon. A 3-year starter that was very dependable, never missing a practice or game in his career. Won All-Region as a senior finishing the season with 41 pancakes. (Recruited by Fred Jones).
Jahari Boone #12: Valwood/Ashley Henderson, Dog, 6'1, 195 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Jahari is a big, athletic kid with really good speed for his size as he ran a 4.69 40-yard dash while on campus. First Team All-Region performer for Valwood that was a two-way player. He finished his senior year with 77 tackles and an interception on defense and 13 receptions for 234 yards on offense. Bryce Burgess #1: Adairsville/Eric Bishop, ATH, 5'10, 180 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Bryce Burgess is a multi-tool athlete from Adairsville High School. As a senior, he recorded 108 tackles, 10 pass breakups and one interception on the defensive side of the ball. He tallied 487 rushing yards on 73 carries with six touchdowns, and 10 receptions for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Has been named First Team All-Region the past two seasons for football, as well as being a state placer in wrestling and a sectional track qualifier. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Qu'Vella Calhoun #4: Meadowcreek/Jason Carrera, ATH, 5'8, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Qu'Vella was a playmaker on both sides of the ball for Meadowcreek. He finished his senior year with 63 tackles and 17 sacks on defense and eight carries for 127 yards with 6 TDs. He also participated in wrestling and basketball at Meadowcreek. We are so excited to see to have a guy as talented as Qu'Vella joining the Reinhardt family. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Jalen Cannon #44: Best Academy/Joshua Moore, LB, 6'0, 225 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Jalen is a big linebacker that can run for his size as we timed him at 4.86 in the 40- yard dash. He played linebacker and running back at Best Academy his senior year. Jalen totaled 164 total tackles and 10 sacks on defense his final campaign and 1,612 yards of total offense in his career with 552 yards rushing his senior year. Those impressive stats led to an All-State Honorable Mention and First Team All-Region selection. (Recruited by Brent McClendon).
John Cano #59: Brunswick/Shawn Pender, OL, 6'0, 260 Hudl
Coach's Comment: John is a kid that is very intense player on the gridiron. He is a finisher that plays through the whistle every snap with 52 dominant finishes on the season. He played at Brunswick, who finished with an 8-3 record his senior year. John garnered First Team All-region his junior and senior campaigns and Honorable Mention All-State in 2017. Also a very accomplished wrestler with a career record of 112-32 coming second in area and fourth in sectionals. (Recruited by Brad Lindamood).
Josh Chastain #55: Lumpkin County/Scott Williamson, OL, 5'11, 270 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Big and physical player that played both sides of the football for Lumpkin County. Has started at center, defensive tackle and fullback at times. Very athletic for his size running a 4.91 pro shuttle & 1.8 10-yard sprint. Was a 3-time All-Region pick on the gridiron and also wrestled; was Sectional Champion in 2018. Treneilus Craddock: Southwest Dekalb/Arkansas Baptist, DL, 6'2, 270
Coach's Comment: He was a 2-year starter who has a good body and brings some experience to the field on the defensive line. Craddock has leadership qualities both on the field and in the classroom because he is a former captain. Excited to have him in the fold. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Courtland Dixon: Hardaway/Michael Woolridge, DB, 5'11, 170 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Courtland Dixon is a talented athlete that played defense and special teams in high school. He is coming to Reinhardt to play defensive back after recording 39 solo tackles, assisting on 23 tackles, and breaking up six passes. As a punt returner, he totaled 233 yards and a touchdown to go along with 233 yards on seven kickoff returns. (Recruited by Greg Blue).
Payne Drake #20: Mcintosh Academy/Terell Toomer, Dog, 5'11, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Payne is a fast linebacker that we clocked at 4.78 in the 40-yard dash. We feel like he can be physical in the run game and athletic enough to cover people man-to-man. Was able to produce 89 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 5 quarterback pressures, 2 pass breakups, an interception and four forced fumbles. Coach's Comment: Brother to tight end Gordon Dudley and son of longtime Georgia high school coach Ed Dudley. He has a great pedigree and is a very intelligent football player. Coach's Comment: Jalen is a 2016 state champion football player from Valdosta High. He is an explosive athlete that has the ability to dunk a basketball at 5'8. Also, extremely fast running a 4.5 40-yard dash on campus and has excellent change of direction. (Recruited by Fred Jones).
Logan Garner #70: Jefferson / Gene Cathcart, OL, 6'0, 245 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Jefferson High School product that went 10-3 this season, losing in the elite eight. The 2-year starter brings a physical presence to the offensive line with 52 pancakes his senior year. He played on the defensive line as well, collecting 44 tackles the last two seasons. Najji Germana #1: Collins Hill/Lenny Gregory, RB, 5'7, 160 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Najji Germana is a talented running back from Collins Hill. He has been a starter on the Varsity since he was a sophomore. As a senior captain he rushed for 535 yards on 93 rushing attempts. He was granted the leadership award by his high school for upstanding character. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
AJ Green #4: Mount Paran/Mitch Jordan, DB, 5'9, 160 Hudl
Coach's Comment: AJ is a talented defensive back from Mount Paran High. AJ helped the Eagles to a 11-2 record his senior season. He finished with 47 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 5 pressures on the quarterback and 6 pass breakups. We are very excited he wanted to continue to be an Eagle at Reinhardt. Willie Green #50: Glenn Hills/Nick Collins, OL, 6'2, 270 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Brings an aggressive and finishing mentality to our offensive line. A two-way starter on the line of scrimmage for Glenn Hills. Finished his senior season with 60 pancake blocks. Willie was 4-AA First Team All-Area, Region and State recipient and played in the Tennessee versus Georgia All-Star Game along with the Border Bowl. (Recruited by Fred Jones).

Hunter Giffith #62: Jefferson/Gene Cathcart, OL, 6'1, 260 Hudl
Coach's Comment: A talented offensive lineman that has played guard and tackle for Jefferson High that finished 10-3 on the season. Tough-minded player that had 26 dominant finishes his senior year. Hunter also participated in the East versus West All-Star game and was a preseason FAB 50 selection. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Alex Hardy: P/K: South Forsyth
Coach's Comment: Hardy will bring even more talent to the special teams room that we already have here at Reinhardt. He received three Player of the Game awards last year (two region games and the playoff game) and was All-Region 5-7A. He was 6-for-7 on field goals (long 32), 42-of-43 on PATs and 36 of his 56 kickoffs were touchbacks (66.3 percent touchback rate); 29 punts with an average of 38.5 yards (long of 50 (twice). Hardy also hit the winning field goal at the Corky Kell Classic at Georgia State's stadium in double overtime. At the Chris Sailer Kicking Camp, he won the sudden death field goal challenge – against the number one kicker in the nation at the time – with three 55-yard field goals. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).

Coach's Comment: Cade is joining the Reinhardt family from Rockmart High, a Sweet 16 team. Cade is a team-first guy, displayed by him winning 'Set the Standard' award his final season and was also a captain. Matthew Holt #10: Lakeside (Dekalb)/Cam Jones, QB, 6'5, 180 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Matt is a tall quarterback that has a very live arm – he can make all the throws on a field. A 2-year starter that completed 74 passes for 1,237 yards and 8 TDs during his final campaign. He earned All-County his junior and senior seasons. Jonathan Howard: Putnam County, DE, 6'2, 195 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Howard is a rangy, physical and explosive defensive end that plays with a great motor, which makes him a good fit for what we like to do on that side of the ball. Dakota Hughes #32: Adairsville/Eric Bishop, ATH, 6'2, 225 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Dakota is a versatile two-way player at linebacker and tight end for Adairsville High. He racked up 124 total tackles, 10 TFLs, 5 sacks and 3 pass breakups on defense and two receptions for 96 yards for two TDs on offense his senior season. Coach's Comment: Nathan Hunt is a talented wide receiver with a great combination of height and speed from Stratford Academy. As a senior, he was named to the Region 7-A All-Region team as well as the region's Special Teams Player of the Year. His statistics include 512 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Comment: Compiled 32 tackles – three tackles for loss – and a sack. He's a well-built young man who will fit right in with the toughness mentality that Reinhardt football represents. Austin Jones #88: McEachern/Kyle Hockman, TE/SN, 6'1, 215 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Austin played for a semifinal team at McEachern in Cobb County. He caught 13 balls his senior year for 141 yards 10.8 YPC and two TDs. Coach's Comment: Jalen is a state champion cornerback from Hapeville Charter in Hapeville, Ga. He finished his championship season with 58 tackles, 4 pass breakups, and two interceptions. Chris Long #21: River Ridge/Tyler Wynn, DB, 5'10, 170 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Chris is a young man that is a playmaker on that back end of a defense. He's a very instinctual player finishing with six interceptions – two returned for TDs – five pass breakups and 24 tackles on defense. Chris has a team first mentality as the River Ridge quarterback went down for the season and Coach Wynn asked Chris to play QB… he ended up rushing for 358 yards and five TDs. Kenneth Lowery #20: Collins Hill/Lenny Gregory, LB 5'11 220 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Kenneth Lowery is a talented linebacker form Collins Hill who was named First Team All-Region and Second Team All-County for his junior and senior years. He has recorded 201 tackles, 25 TFL and 6.5 sacks, along with a defensive touchdown over the past two seasons. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Darius Martin #18: Grayson/Christian Hunnicutt, Dog, 5'10, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Darius is a physical and fast football player for 11-2 Grayson High. His speed was shown on campus by running a 4.58 40-yard dash. He displays the kind of passion and effort that we look for in all of our football players. Darrell Neal #27: Cedar Grove/Jimmy Smith, RB, 5'8, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Talented running back for Jimmy Smith at Cedar Grove. Darrell led Dekalb County in rushing with 1,489 yards on 156 carries for an average of 9.54 yards per carry. He was an All-County and All-Region selection for a team that finished 12-1. Darrell has excellent change of direction and finishing speed, running a 4.58 40-yard dash on campus. Kellen Neal #31: Buford/John Ford, DB, 6'1, 170 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Kellen is a tall, rangy athlete that can make plays on the back end of your defense. He played for a semifinalist team that finished the season at 11-2. Kellen was a First Team All-Region selection and named a permanent captain for the Wolves. He received the Ricky Patterson Award for best attitude and effort on the team. Gray Nichols #57: Evans/Lem Lackey, OL, 6'0, 300
Coach's Comment: Gray is a big offensive lineman from Evans High in Augusta. He played on the most prolific offense in school history and top-scoring in the 6A classification. Xavier O'Neal #2: Pope/Tab Griffin, DB, 5'10, 170 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Xavier is a talented player for Pope High. Started at running back and free safety for Coach Griffin. On defense he tallied 63 tackles, 1 Forced Fumble, 1 Fumble Recovery and two pass breakups. A talented runner on offense, gaining 950 yards on 151 attempts for an average of 6.29 per carry to go with 12 touchdowns. Ethan Painter #76: Grayson/Christian Hunnicutt, OL, 6'1, 270 Hudl
Coach's Comment: I have a lot of respect for Coach Hunnicutt and his opinion of offensive line play, and he said 'Ethan is the toughest kid that I ever coached.' That means a lot to me and also the fact that he is a former state champion and owns a 37-4 career record going 10-2 his senior season. Jonathan Perry: Hampton, DL, 6'0, 210
Coach's Comment: JC Perry has been a varsity starter at Hampton High Shool since his freshmen year. For the past three years, he has been All-Region, a captain and led the team in tackles. He is also the all-time leader for tackles at Hampton with 355 tackles over his career, not to mention being named MVP of the Georgia/Florida All-Star Game. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Tyler Presley: Daleville/Rob Armstrong, RB, 5'11, 175 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Tyler is a two-way player from Daleville High right outside of Dothan, Ala. We see him playing a slot position for us at Reinhardt. He earned the Southeast Sun News Player of the Year by rushing for 857 yards on 135 carries for an average 6.3 per rush to go along with 10 TDs. He also made noise in the passing game with 19 catches for 433 yards and 5 TDs. Also was productive on defense with 92 tackles and three interceptions and First Team All-Region. Malik Ransom #6: Tucker/Bryan Lamar, LB, 5'11, 200 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Malik is a very athletic and violent linebacker from Tucker High School. He ran a 4.6 40-yard dash on our campus at Reinhardt and will use that speed on the field. Was a pivotal member of this year's 12-2 Tucker football team that was a semifinalist in the GHSA playoffs. As a senior, he recorded 57 tackles, 3 sacks, 8 TFL, 3 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Jayden Robinson: Lincoln County/Kevin Banks, LB, 5'11, 218
Coach's Comment: Jayden Robinson is an All-Region linebacker from Lincoln County, Ga. His combination of size and quickness are his biggest weapons as a player. As a senior, he was named Lincoln County's Defensive MVP after recording 104 tackles and four sacks. (Recruited by Fred Jones).
Noah Stephens: Callaway/Pete Wiggins, K, 5'9 160
Coach's Comment: Noah Stephens is a very talented special teams player from Callaway High School. As a senior, he recorded 69 kickoffs with 16 touchbacks with an average return of 15.5 yds. He completed 46-of-49 PATs, 24-of-35 field goals, and punted the ball 29 times with an average of 29 yards. (Recruited by Greg Blue).
Justin Stevens #3: Veterans/David Bruce, CB, 5'10, 175 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Talented corner from Veterans High. Has excellent man-to-man skills that he displayed at our camp this summer. He was voted a permanent captain and Defensive Back of the Year for his effort as a senior. He picked off four passes to go along with six pass breakups and 40 tackles on the season. Siraye Tchatcha #12: South Gwinnett/Steve Davenport, LB, 6'0, 212 Hudl
Coach's Comment: He put up 63 tackles, 10 TFL, 3 sacks, 2 interceptions and a pair of touchdowns. Tchatcha was named First Team All-Region. He brings speed, physicality and athleticism to the defensive side of the ball, which is going to bring a lot of competitiveness to the roster. (Recruited by Tommy Scott).
Maddox Teems #74: Adairsville/Eric Bishop, OL, 5'11, 275 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Maddox is a very durable and experienced offensive lineman from Adairsville. He won the Billy Wofford Award at his senior banquet. This award represents the overall MVP (leader, role model, never late to class, and 100 percent on lifts.) A 3-year starter that was a 3-year All-Region and 2-year All-County selection. Finished his senior year with 35 domninant finishes and a 90 percent player grade. (Recruited by OC Williams).
Travis Traylor #7: Callaway/Pete Wiggins, TE, 5'11, 190 Hudl
Coach's Comment: Travis played TE and DE at Callaway High School. His junior season, he started at DE and finished with 47 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 interception and a forced fumble. Senior season switched to the offensive side of the football playing TE. Had four catches for 97 yards and three carries for 54 yards for a team that finished 13-1 this season and won 25 games the past two years. Travis is also a Georgia Merritt Scholar. Coach's Comment: Juan Uribe is a very exciting addition to the talented Reinhardt defensive line. Coach's Comment: Winner is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Bryce Wilkins. He holds a 53-3 career record on the gridiron in high school. Three-year starter, 4-time playoff participant, 4-time region champion, 2-time state champion and All-Region as a junior and senior. Senior year was OL MVP and permanent captain for Cartersville. The newest members of the Reinhardt community will be on campus for summer workouts in August in preparations for the upcoming year as the team hopes to make a return trip to Daytona Beach, Fla.
