By Mike DeVader, Reinhardt Director of Athletic Communications & Media
WALESKA, Ga. – (Live Video | Live Stats) Postseason football is back inside Ken White Field at University Stadium tomorrow as No. 8 Reinhardt welcomes No. 9 Marian (Ind.) in the NAIA Football Championship Series (FCS) First Round.
Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. in the second meeting in history between the two programs.
"Big game… The kind that you want to play in," head coach James Miller said. "Two hard-nosed teams that are going to smack each other play-in and play-out. This is going to be fun to watch and I am really excited to see our kids compete."
The Eagles (8-0) – the five-time defending Appalachian Division champions within the Mid-South Conference – are looking to avenge their last playoff loss, which was on the road to the Knights, 17-7, back on Nov. 23, 2019.
Marian comes into the matchup – this time in Waleska – with a 5-1 mark and is the 2019 NAIA national runner-up.
Reinhardt was the NAIA national runner-up in 2017.
