RU Football is Finally Back at Home to face KCU!
Waleska, GA - After several weeks on the road, the Eagles will be back on the friendly grounds at Ken White Field. Their last home appearance was on Saturday, Sept. 3rd when the Eagles narrowly lost to Bethel (TN) in a game where they dominated field possession. Since then the Eagles have had one game postponed (Cumberland) and then two road games with Point U and St. Andrews where the Eagles won both with large margins.
Coach Miller and his staff are glad to be back at home where they will face Kentucky Christian. Hunter Arters, Devyn Collins, and the Eagles' offense have shown their opponents that they are able to control the ball and put up points and they will look to keep that going this Saturday. In the game against Bethel, putting the ball in the endzone was the one issue that caused them the win so the offense will make sure to put points on the board against the Knights.
The defense is loaded with speed, power, and toughness which Coach Greg Blue will release on visiting Kentucky Christian. Jon Perry, Jalen Everett, Kenneth Lowery, and many more will bring their suppressing defense which has held opponents to just 16.5 points per game, 11 sacks, and 4 takeaways. The Eagles will look to keep the scoring low once more and try to take one of those takeaways to the endzone, which they have not been able to do this season.
The Eagles will kick off at noon this Saturday, Oct. 8th and it should be an entertaining game for RU fans! The Knights are coming off their first win of the season last Saturday so the Eagles will look to put a stop to that streak fast. The weather forecast looks great so come out for an awesome day of RU Football!
