WALESKA, Ga. – Ball possession. Timeout. Victory.
Those three phrases have echoed through the halls of the Brown Athletic Center since 2018, and in fact, helped the Reinhardt Eagles claim their third-straight national invitational championship in May of 2019.
This Way-Back Wednesday was truly special, however, as then-freshman Dillan Bousquet found the back of the net just 56 seconds into overtime to complete yet another comeback for Reinhardt in the 2018 NAIA Men's Lacrosse National Invitational to earn the Eagles back-to-back national titles, 8-7, over previously unbeaten and No. 1-ranked Madonna (Mich.) at AQ Athletic Field.
Reinhardt completed the campaign at 16-1 and the NAIA's top team in men's lacrosse after dropping the Crusaders to 22-1 on the year.
It all took place on May 12, 2018.
Enjoy.
