Marietta, GA - Reinhardt Men's Lacrosse ran into a determined Keiser University team today in the semifinals of the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament. Just a few weeks ago, the Eagles knocked off the (at the time) #1 ranked Keiser Seahawks in Waleska, so the team from South Florida had extra motivation to bring the series back to level. The Eagles were outscored 11 to 3 in the second half, which put the game away for Keiser, 17-8.
The good thing is the season does not stop here for the Eagles. Although they will not be able to repeat as the AAC Tournament Champions like they were in 2024, the Eagles will have a chance to compete in the NAIA National Tournament in two weeks.
Luke Greer led the Eagles in scoring in the game, and several others had one goal each. Ethan Rogers had 12 saves in goal, but he had 17 against him.
Reinhardt stayed with Skyhawks in the first half, being equal after one quarter at four all and then going into the half one goal down, 6-5. The second half was the difference in the game and the Eagles were not able to keep up with the scoring barrage from Keiser.
Reinhart will learn where they end up in the NAIA Tournament early next week. The national tournament will take place the week of May 7th -10th in Savannah, GA. The official bracket and other tournament information can be found at the following site:
