Tough Day for Eagles in West Palm Beach
West Palm Beach, Fla. - Keiser University seized control in the opening quarter and never let go Saturday, defeating the Eagles 25-6 in South Florida. The decisive stretch came in the first 15 minutes, when the home side turned a 2-1 game into a 7-1 advantage by the end of the first quarter and set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.
Reinhardt fell to Keiser despite staying active offensively with 32 shots, 14 of them on goal. Luke Greer scored in the first quarter at the 9:47 mark to trim the deficit to 2-1, and Reid McDowell answered early in the second quarter to make it 8-2. Nolan Marsh added a third-quarter goal for the Eagles, Greer scored again in the fourth, and Benjamin Shackelford closed the scoring with six seconds left. Reinhardt scored once in the first quarter, once in the second, then added two goals in both the third and fourth.
Keiser's offense was driven by Ryan Rundle and AJ Badik, who each finished with seven goals. Kyle Davis added one goal and seven assists, while Marek Albiero posted three goals and three assists. Davis opened the scoring for Keiser at 12:31 of the first quarter, and Badik's late goal with 11 seconds left in the quarter pushed the margin to 7-1. Rundle struck 20 seconds into the second quarter for an 8-1 lead, and Badik later converted on a man-up chance as Keiser finished with four power-play goals.
The numbers reflected Keiser's control of possession. Keiser outshot Reinhardt 57-32, held a 40-14 edge in shots on goal, won the faceoff battle 21-14, and collected 47 ground balls to Reinhardt's 20. Keiser also committed only nine turnovers, compared with 19 for Reinhardt. The Eagles finished 9 of 15 on clears, while Keiser went 17 for 17. This was a statement game for the Seahawks as they all but sealed the deal on the AAC regular season title.
Reinhardt's goalkeepers combined for 15 saves and helped limit further damage during long stretches of pressure, while Keiser's goalies recorded eight saves. Still, the sustained volume eventually broke the game open. Keiser led 15-2 at halftime, 20-4 after three quarters, and reached the final margin when Shackelford scored for Reinhardt in the closing seconds, capping a 25-6 final in front of an announced crowd of 1,200.
The Eagles will have to put this tough loss behind them as they finish out their 2026 spring season this week with Point University on Thursday evening and then the final game on Saturday versus Life University. Reinhardt is sitting in third position behind Keiser and SCAD with the AAC Tournament looming in the distance. The AAC Tournament is scheduled for April 25th and May 1st - 2nd.
