Hat Trick Propels Whitten to AAC Offensive Honors

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The return to the soccer field was a fun one for Aaron Whitten and Reinhardt this past Saturday, as three goals and a dime from the senior captain was enough for him to be selected as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the AAC revealed on Monday afternoon.
This is the fifth edition of the weekly honors for the 2020 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 26.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Aaron Whitten - Sr. - Locust Grove, Ga.
- Had three goals and an assist for seven points this week.
- Helped Reinhardt to a 9-0 win over Kentucky Christian.
- Scored the trio of goals on six shots – four of which were on-goal.
- This is his first weekly award this season.

The hometown squad comes back to Ken White Field at University Stadium for the first time in nearly a month when it welcomes the Lions of Bryan (Tenn.) to Waleska for a 7:30 p.m. kick on Wednesday.
