Milligan College, TN - Reinhardt Men's Soccer comes to an end quickly in their opening round game of the 2025 AAC Men's Soccer Championships. The Eagles faced the #2 team in the tournament, Milligan University Buffaloes. The Buffs sent Reinhardt packing early in this one as they finished the game with a score of 6-0.
Evan DeYou had two shots on target for the Eagles, which was a team lead. Goalkeeper Andree Meza had a tough night with many shots coming in on goal. He was able to make 8 saves in the game, but six got by the backline of the Eagles.
Milligan was able to score three goals in the first half and then added three more in the second half to advance to the semifinals. Union is the number one team in the brackets. More games wil be played on Saturday as the tournament will wind down to the final four AAC teams.
The season had many ups and downs throughout, with several great moments. The offseason will bring changes to the men's soccer program as the Eagles fill the head coaching spot. The core of the team is very talented, and most are sophomores and freshmen. Whoever is selected to come in to lead the Eagles will have several talented players to build upon for 2026 and beyond.
