Eagles Take Care of Business at Reinhardt Duals

Waleska, GA - The #13 ranked RU Eagles Wrestling team hosted the Reinhardt Duals on Saturday, which included St. Thomas, St. Andrews, Truett-McConnell, and West Virginia Tech. St. Thomas ended up being the most competitive dual of the day for the Eagles and West Virginia Tech had a couple of competitive matches as well. The Eagles dominated the day winning all four duals by very large margins.

Reinhardt defeated St. Thomas, 38-9 with Trevor Burdick, Sam Irwin, and Nic Jarvis all getting pins. Jackson Bond and Cole Tenety had technical fall wins.

In the dual against West Virginia Tech where the Eagles won 43 to 6, the Eagles had great performances by Easton Bishop, Aushaud Evans, Wyatt Higgins, and Kyle McGill. Higgins and McGill both picked up pins in their matches.

The Eagles held St. Andrews and Truett McConnell scoreless in those duals with several standout performances by many Eagle wrestlers.  Please see the results below.

The Eagles will be at the Life University Duals this Thursday evening, which will be no doubt one of the most competitive duals of the season. After this, they have the Newberry Open on February 5th and then on to the AAC Championships on February 18th.
