Eagles Place Third at the AAC Championship Tournament

Marietta, GA - RU Wrestling's 2022-23 season is coming to a close quickly, however, there are several wrestlers that have a chance to do some special things in the next couple of weeks.

This past weekend, the Eagles competed in the AAC Tournament which has some really talented schools in the conference now. The addition of Life University and Southeastern University (FL) has really increased the notoriety and competition level of the conference, but Reinhardt is still among the top teams in the conference and nation.

The Eagles were able to place 3rd in the tournament and six wrestlers got an automatic bid to the championship. Angel Banda (125), Cole Luallen (149), Trevor Burdick (157), Matt Jenkins (165), Wyatt Higgins (165), and Cole Tenety (174) all qualified for the NAIA National Tournament. Besides those six, the Eagles do have chances to get a few more qualified.

We will have the full results of these wrestlers as they go to compete at the National Tournament. This is a very talented and skilled group that has the ability to make a lot of noise at each weight class.
