Eagles Take on the #2 Fire in the Dual Opener
Waleska, GA - Reinhardt Wrestling started its dual season on Saturday, facing the #2-ranked Southeastern Fire. The young Eagles are in the process of establishing themselves as they look to replace last year's veteran squad.
Garrett Pace, Jonathan Parammore, and Calebl Pruitt are a few of the returning veterans who will mesh with newcomers like Karmel Thompson and Nathan Bukovich to lead the Eagles this season. Thompson and Bukovich are a few of the wrestlers who have shown progress early in the 2025-26 wrestling season. Another wrestler is Joabe Araujo, who had to sit last season behind the Reinhardt star Trevor Burdick at 157. Both Araujo and Thompson were able to pull off the wins against the formidable Southeastern Fire.
The Eagles were only able to get the points in Thompson's and Araujo's matches. Pace (149), Zac Bosken (133), Bukovich (174), and Pruitt (285) had extremely close matches but came up short in the end. Reinhardt gave up the dual, 32-7.
Reinhardt will look to keep gaining experience and momentum as the season continues and they prepare for their next event, which will be the Life University Open in Marietta, Georgia, on November 22nd.
