Fisher & Mahoney Compete at the 2025 NAIA Nationals
Tallahassee, FL - The NAIA held its annual Cross Country National Championships on Friday, November 21st. It was the 70th meet for the men, and it was the 48th annual on the women's side.
Rylee Fisher and Braniff Mahoney were the representatives for Reinhardt University Cross Country. This was the second year in a row for sophomore Fisher and the first appearance for junior Manhoney. Fisher was the only representative for both the men and women last year for Reinhardt.
The meet was held in Tallahassee, Florida, with over six hundred participants in total. The men's side had 323 runners and there were 331 on the women's side. Mahoney finished in 169th position in a total of 323 runners in the Men's 8k. He had a time of 26:27. It wasn't his best time of the season, but it was a good showing to get a place in the middle of the pack of the best runners in the NAIA.
Earlier in the season, Mahoney ran 25:05 at a regular-season meet in the 8k. This was a personal best for him in the 8k and one of the best times ever for Reinhardt Cross Country.
Fisher had a time of 23:58 in the Women's 6k. She placed 211 of 331 total runners. At the AAC Championships, she had a time of 22:18, which was a new school record for Reinhardt Cross Country. During the regular season, Fisher had a time of 18:48 in the 5k and this was a personal best for her.
This wraps up the season for Reinhardt Cross Country. The two will join the indoor track team as they prepare for the winter indoor season. The first meet will be December 3rd at the annual Ben Martin Classic in Oakridge, Tennessee.
