Reinhardt Eagles Secure Convincing Victory Over CIU Rams in AAC Tournament Opener
Kingsport, TN. - In a formidable display of softball, the Reinhardt Eagles soared to an 8-0 victory against the CIU Rams in the first-round of the AAC Tournament today, held at Brickyard Ball Field in Kingsport, Tenn. With this win, the Eagles improve their season record to an impressive 27-8.
The Eagles showcased their dominance early in the game, with Eryn Lee's lead-off walk that turned into a scored run setting a strong pace in the first inning. Key performances included a significant contribution from Ansley Hight, who not only drove in four runs but also clinched the game with a three-run homer in the fifth inning. Pitcher Anslie Pettit delivered an outstanding performance from the mound, throwing for 6 innings with zero earned runs and collecting 5 strikeouts.
