Women's basketball team loses conference game to Brewton-Parker, travels to face SSAC foe Columbia on Thursday
Reinhardt led just once in the game, 9-8 with 15 minutes left in the first half, before Brewton-Parker built a 15-point advantage and a 41-29 halftime lead. The Lady Eagles trimmed the deficit to 10 points (45-35) early in the second half but the Lady Barons increased their lead to 72-49 with 5:30 to go in the contest.
Reinhardt outrebounded BPC 40-35 but was guilty of 23 turnovers. Brewton-Parker committed only 12 turnovers.
For the Lady Eagles, Karina Gass scored 15 points while freshman Jordan Marsh had 10. Freshman Monique Blanding added a career- and game-high nine rebounds.
Reinhardt drops to 5-14 overall and 2-8 in SSAC play while the Lady Barons move to 12-8 overall and 6-5 in the conference after posting their fourth straight win. The Lady Eagles will play an SSAC contest at the Columbia College Fighting Koalas this Thursday. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. in Columbia, S.C.
