Kingsport, TN - The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday afternoon the All-Conference awards which included Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Defender of the Year, Coach of the Year, and the Teams of the Year. Abi Haynes and Catherine Shope represented the Eagle Nation for these awards. Abi Haynes was awarded 1st Team All-Conference. Catherine Shope was awarded 1st Team All-Conference and she made the All-Defensive Team as well. These awards are very deserving for these two hardworking Eagles. They have given their all to the Women's Basketball Program and to Reinhardt University. Congratulations to these two Conference Top Performers and all of their successes this year!
Abi, Catherine, and the Eagles will be in action on Thursday afternoon as the quarterfinals of the AAC Basketball Tournament get started. After winning the opening round game versus Brenau on Monday afternoon, the Eagles will play at 1:45 pm when they take on Tennessee Wesleyan. This will be a great game as both games came down to the final shots to decide the winner when they faced during the season. It will be a great game to watch and the Eagle Nation is standing strong behind Coach Wagoner and the women as they continue their post-season games.
