Roper Leads Trio of Eagles at Spring Skyhawk in LaGrange
LaGrange, GA - Reinhardt Women's Golf did not post a team score at the 2026 Spring Skyhawk at Highland, but the Eagles still made their presence felt with three solid individual performances over two days at Highland Country Club in LaGrange, Georgia.
Competing as individuals because Reinhardt brought only three golfers — two short of the required five for a team score — the Eagles were led by Samantha Roper, who finished sixth in the 27-golfer field at 27-over par. Roper carded rounds of 14-over and 13-over on the par-72, 5,813-yard layout to secure a top-10 finish against golfers from six universities.
Isabella Mobley joined Roper in the top 10, placing eighth at 34-over for the tournament. Mobley opened with a 15-over first round and followed with a 19-over second round to stay inside the top third of the leaderboard. Addy Anderson rounded out Reinhardt's contingent, finishing 15th overall at 46-over after rounds of 20-over and 26-over.
While the Eagles were not eligible for the team standings, the event still provided an early-season benchmark and competitive reps against a four-team scoring field. Roper's 13-over closing round was Reinhardt's low score of the tournament and helped her climb into the top six, while Mobley's consistency across both days kept her inside the top 10. Anderson's finish in the top 15 gave Reinhardt three golfers in the upper half of the individual standings.
The 36-hole event, played Feb. 23-24, tested players with Highland Country Club's length and setup, as scores across the field trended over par. In that context, Reinhardt's three-player group held its own, with Roper and Mobley both finishing ahead of the majority of the 27-player field despite the Eagles' lack of a full lineup.
Reinhardt will look to build on the individual momentum when it returns to action March 2-3 at the Spring Golden Tiger Collegiate Tournament, hosted by Brenau University. With another opportunity on the schedule, the Eagles will aim to convert these early-season results into lower scores and, potentially, a complete roster for team competition.
