Montevallo, AL – The Reinhardt Women's Lacrosse team played in their first game of the season on-the-road versus NCAA DII school, Montevallo University. The Eagles were up by 1 after the 1st quarter and then the game was tied at 6-6 at halftime. Coming out of the halftime break, Montevallo went on a run, scoring 10 goals in the 3rd quarter to Reinhardt's 1. Reinhardt responded well, scoring 5-1 in the 4th, but couldn't close the lead thanks to the strong 3rdquarter by Montevallo. Jillian Mello had 4 goals for the Eagles while Shelby O'neil had 3. Madison Hasty had 9 total saves.
