Waleska, GA – #3 Reinhardt Women's Lacrosse played an exciting game versus #5 Scad University on Friday, March 3rd, where the Eagles won convincingly 17-9. While this game seems widespread in favor of Reinhardt, it didn't start out that way. SCAD came out of the gate with shots firing and had 4 strikes on the net to Reinhardt's 0. Reinhardt stayed calm and climbed their way back into this match thanks to Shelby O'Neil, scoring the tying goal and another to put the Eagles ahead 5-4. The first half seemed like a dog-fight, trading leads, and was left at 8-7 at the half with Scad having the lead. The Eagles came out the second half knowing they needed to be focused-in on defense and that's just what they did. Reinhardt scored 10 more goals to Scad's 1 in the second half to give the Eagles their first conference win of the season. Jillian Mello played a light's out game, scoring 6 goals. Defensively,Mia Griswold caused 2 turnovers and had 6 ground balls. Madison Hasty was disciplined at goalie, recording 6 saves. This was a great win for the Eagles as they are now 1-0 in conference play and 2-3 overall.
