Volleyball Continues Positive Play at Tennessee Wesleyan

ATHENS, Tenn. – The long road trip for women's volleyball continued into Tennessee on Friday night against Tennessee Wesleyan, and so did the team's winning streak, as the Eagles came away victorious in straight sets, 3-0 (25-17 ,25-15, 25-12).
The Eagles (18-4, 9-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference) were guided by the hard-nosed effort of the entire squad, as it totaled 48 digs in the victory. Individually, Tessa Colden collected 13 kills while hitting .379. Not to be outdone, Cheetara Bing gathered eight kills hitting .278 and Emily Charbonneau collected seven kills as well (.263).
Carlee Baxter helped the entire flow of the match with 30 assists – and on defense – had a team-best 13 digs while Angel Cornista was next in line with 12.
Additional stats of the victory will be announced when they become available.
The Lions of Bryan (Tenn.) line up against Reinhardt tomorrow afternoon in their home gym at 1 p.m. in Dayton.
