Stark Hired to Lead Reinhardt Women’s Volleyball
Waleska, GA - Reinhardt University has hired Jack Stark as the new head coach of its women's volleyball program. The announcement was made Thursday, June 18, by Executive Director of Athletics Jonathan Burton, who brought in a coach with head-coaching experience, recent postseason success, and a background that spans both the men's and women's sides of the sport.
Stark arrives after two seasons as head coach of men's volleyball at Georgetown College in Kentucky, where he posted a 42-14 record. His 2025 team won the River States Conference championship, finished sixth at the 2025 NAIA National Tournament, and helped earn him River States Conference Coach of the Year honors. During his time there, he coached three NAIA AVCA All-Americans and nine all-conference selections, a track record that points to both program growth and individual player development.
Burton added this about the new addition to Reinhardt Athletics, " When I decided to make the move and bring in two separate head coaches for our volleyball programs, we knew there could potentially be a risk. However, throughout the hiring process, Jack's enthusiasm and desire to improve our program were something that stood out to me. Coach Stark will bring an aggressive approach to our girls that will allow us to learn a new style of fundamental volleyball. His knowledge of volleyball is obvious, and we are excited to get him to campus so he can begin the quick transition of a season that is quickly approaching."
Before Georgetown, Stark served as the inaugural head coach at Warren Wilson College, where he launched the NCAA Division III men's volleyball program for the 2023 season. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant for women's volleyball at Mount Mercy University from 2020 to 2022. That experience on the women's side gives Reinhardt a coach who has worked in multiple competitive settings and has been part of both building a program from the ground up and leading an established team to national-level results.
Stark also brings an accomplished playing background. At St. Andrews University from 2016 to 2020, he served as team captain from 2017 through 2020, won two Mid-South Conference championships, and recorded more than 3,000 career assists. He earned second-team all-conference honors in 2018 and first-team all-conference recognition in 2019, while helping his team reach two NAIA National Tournaments. His playing career also included multiple conference Player of the Week awards and one national weekly honor.
Academically, Stark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Science from St. Andrews University and a Master of Business Administration from Mount Mercy. At Reinhardt, he steps into the role with expectations shaped by a steady rise through the coaching ranks, proven success in recruiting and player development, and experience leading teams in championship settings.
