Week 9: AAC Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Ally Andriano of Reinhardt and Kristin Wemes of Columbia are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the ninth edition of the weekly honors for the 2022 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 25.

AAC Pitcher of the Week

Ally Andriano - Reinhardt - Jr. - Marietta, Ga.

• Went 1-1 with a 1.21 ERA on the week.
• Tossed a complete-game, 4-hit shutout against Brenau.
• Recorded 12 strikeouts in 17 1/3 innings of work.
• This is her first weekly honor this season.

AAC Player of the Week

Kristin Weems - Columbia - Sr. - Buford, S.C.

• Batted .522in helping Columbia to a 7-0 record on the week.
• Drove in 10 runs and scored 8 times.
• Had 3 doubles and 1 home run for a .783 slugging percentage.
• This is her first weekly award this season.
